Countless internet wars have been fought on the usefulness of unit tests/robolectric/espresso on Android and what is best practice.

Personally, I find UI tests to be the biggest bang for your buck. They have many drawbacks though (slow, flaky, costly etc).

People have the uncanny talent of making their unit/robolectric tests always pass for some reason 🤔. (even if the app itself is failing when you put things together🙈)
